EN471 - The STANDARD for Hi-Visibility Clothing

Class 3: garments provide the highest level of protection.

Typical Class 3 garments include Coats, Jackets with sleeves, Coveralls and two piece combination suits.

Class 3: garments must use a minimum 08 0.8m sq of background material and 0.2m sq of retroreflective material.

Class 2: garments provide an intermediate level of protection.

Typical Class 2 garments include Sleeveless Waistcoats, Tabards and Bib & Brace Trousers.

Class 2: garments must use a minimum of 0.5m sq of background material and 0.13m sq of retroreflective material.

Class 1: garments are the lowest level of protection.

Typical Class 1 garments include Trousers and Harness.
